Benjie Nycum and Mike Glatze

Join us as we present the 8th annual National Role Model Award to Mike Glatze and Benjie Nycum, CoFounders of Young Gay America (YGA). Through their website, www.younggayamerica.com, and over 75,000 km of road trips, the two have connected GLBT youth worldwide with powerful, life-affirming messages. Young Gay America's JIM IN BOLD National Youth Tour produced more than 67 hours of footage of GLBT youth. Three hundred of YGA's more than 8,000 photos of GLBT youth were selected for Equality Forum's Exuberance! exhibit. The National Role Model Award ceremony includes the world premiere of JIM IN BOLD, along with tributes by Broadway actors from the Laramie Project, musical salutes by American Idol 2002 finalist Jim Verraros and Munich's Gay Schuhplattler, and a presentation of the award by Equality Forum and Berlin's openly gay Lord Mayor Klaus Wowereit.
